Voluntary Pre-K
We are proud to offer Voluntary Pre-K at both of our Pasco locations. These classrooms offer services to children who are 4 years of age by September 1st. Classrooms follow educational standards set by The Department of Education. Children are taught skills that they need know before they can enter Kindergarten. There are several Domains of Development that are focused on to include:

Physical Health
Approaches to Learning
Social and Emotional Development
Language and Communication Skills
Emergent Literacy
Cognitive Development
Motor Development

Our classrooms use the Creative Curriculum! Weekly Lesson Plans are used to teach skills such as:

Letter and Number recognition
Early Reading Skills
How to write their name
Counting skills

Experiences are provided throughout the day to improve problem solving skills, logical thinking, listening skills, and reading and writing skills. The Educational Schedule incorporates three hours of instructional time during their day.
Our VPK Teachers have their Child Development Accreditation or Bachelors Degree in an approved field. Classrooms follow ratios of 1:10 or a maximum group size of 18 during instructional hours.
Parents can choose a full day for their child which would include the 3 instructional hours plus an extended day of childcare. The cost for the extended day is $60.00 per week while VPK is in session. A free part time program of the three instructional hours is also available.
